Email notification for a forum, not just a thread?

Hi.

I'm hoping you can help.... We have an 'ask a surgeon' section on our forum, where members can receive replies from a surgeon on a specific topic.

The problem I'm having is that obviously surgeons are very busy and can't keep popping back to the forum if there's no need, so they have requested Email notification for when they get a question so they only have to visit as required.

I know you can set a particular thread to give notification to the poster (this wouldn't be the surgeon) but how would I arrange for the surgeon to be notified each time a member asks a question in their forum, or even is there such a feature?
