    Hello,

You need to wait 24 hours to send a second newsletter.
    What's your forum's URL ?
Have you checked your spam folder ?

    Post by Carpe_Mortis June 27th 2012, 8:46 am

I was able to e-mail again this morning and it posted as sent. It hasn't reached my e-mail yet but it has only been 30 minutes since I did e-mail it. I was wondering if it was possibly that I had sent it through the board forum, I think that's what it was called. I sent it under my admin address this time so we will see, hopefully success. I will post later what happens. I am not sure what my URL is? Where do I find and I will answer. Thanks for the response. cheers

Yes I have checked the Spam Folder and there is nothing there either. I did just check my e-mail and my test e-mail and nothing after 3 1/2 hours, I did receive the e-mail to the Admin e-mail address just a few minutes after sending it. The URL is , if I am assuming you mean the address by the URL is http://wolfpackone.forumotion.com. I don't have to write this in html code do I? The e-mail I received in the Admin mailbox looked perfect even though I did not write in code form. Confused Thanks for your help.

    Solved Update

    Post by Carpe_Mortis June 28th 2012, 8:26 am

Still not receiving e-mail to my account or a test e-mail account. Did receive the e-mail to the Admin e-mail account. I had changed in Messages and e-mails, Contact Form, allow external links and e-mails, from no to yes. Does this only effect the outgoing e-mails from the admin for which it is set for? So what can I do to get my newsletter to my members? Confused

    Hello,

I've just registered in your forum as admin and sent a newsletter to the admin group.

I received it without any problem. Maybe you should change your email address ?

Are you sure that your members didn't received it at all ? My email address was a Gmail address and I received it immediately.

That's the thing though, I am receiving it at my Admin e-mail address but not my e-mail (Carpe_Mortis), or another persona I use, MundaneNoodle. Neither of the latter are receiving the e-mail.

And what about your users ? Did they received your first newsletters ?

Edit : my last newsletter was sent only for admins that's why you didn't received it on your other email addresses.
I sent another newsletter to all your members (and I was a simple member in your forum this time) and I properly received it.

I will have to check with them. I assumed that since the two I use as members for myself did not receive them that none of the users/members are receiving them. Do I need to use html code to make this work? Any of the other questions that I previously asked have anything to do with why I am not getting through?

    Hello Leeloo,
I have asked several of my members whether they have received the newsletter and I had a few answer. Out of the 5 that I have answers for two received the letter, one at(Gmail) one at Yahoo, the Yahoo was my Admin address. The others that did not receive, these include my two e-mails at Yahoo, one had Gmail all others were Yahoo. I wish I had a more definitive study for you but I am still waiting for other members to return my inquiry.

Just one thing are all your accounts set to all get news letters

This can be found in Users Profile under preferences
Scroll down to Allow newsletters : YES make sure there all set as yes or your members and your self will not get the news letter's.

Also if your 2 other Email address are the same as your test account i found that you will only get one Email to that address no matter what the name of the member is

So if you have 3 accounts with the same Email address like this (Bing.Bang@hotmail.co.uk) this will only sent 1 Email out to that address.

Well that is what i get as my test account and my Admin account only ever gets 1 as they are the same address Wink

    No, just in users profiles.

I've checked your account Carpe_Mortis and you don't allow newsletters on it.

APE is totally right, that may be the solution to our issue. You have to check this with your users.

Yes, I think this is exactly the problem. The accounts were not set to accept newsletters. I will make changes and update the results and then close thread, unless there is another problem. Thank you so much for your help I think we do have the answer. Very Happy

Excellent idea Ape. I will post the newsletter to be in the forum as well. Is that setting for accepting newsletters set by members or is it just set by default? I don't want to change their setting to accept if they had set it to not accept.

This setting is set to YES by default so the members may have changed it to NO when they made there account with you..

And really no need to thank me that is what i'm here for Wink

One more thing you could put on your news letter in the forum is just a little note that if your members would like to get the Email please change there settings in there profiles this will help your members as they may have forgot they changed them in the first place ;Wink
