Solved Online Guardian-Suspicious Activity on an account

Post by Derri July 2nd 2012, 6:19 pm

Well a short time ago I was on an FM forum and I got a message that said that suspicious activity was located on this account or computer. It also wanted me to fill out some form thing as well.

Now this is wrong because it our staff testing account where 5 members have access to it. Now the only thing I can think of is that because we are from different parts of the globe that it is for some reason flagging it up due to the different locations/IP address. Would this be the case?

As the account is not used frequently however one of my american friends used it the other day and then I used it a short while ago.

I also cant provide a screen shot however the error came up a few times then let me log into the account. I was also logging in and out of the account frequently.

I am just wanting some friendly advice.

You just have to confirm you are human then you will be able to get back to the forum normal. For more info be sure to check out patiogardener link above as well.

Well you see its not blocking my regular account, only the this staff account that multiple people use. Could it be because multiple IP/locations are using this one account therefore causing an issue?

Also I read the topic above, which was mainly an argument after many posts. Plus it never really gave me a direct answer to my question.

    Hello,

If I understood correctly, you are blocked when you use this account but other members are not, with the same account ?

Nope I get the message but after backing out a few times and attempting the code a few times I then can eventually get back in.

So I am not technically fully blocked but it does prevent me from getting in occasionally. Can I also say it does not block my regular account just the forums test account we have.

EDIT: It keeps coming up with the error message when I try to log onto the test account. I can sometimes get buy it with repeatably signing in but it is tedious. Also I am not sure if it is happening to anyone else. However my personal account has not been effected as I can log onto that normally without no issue what so ever.
