    Solved TOS warning

    Post by bl4cks4b3r July 13th 2012, 6:26 pm

Dear "s4b3rstealth.forumotion.pro" forum administrator(s), it appears that your forum doesn't respect our Terms of service. Our service is free, so we are urged to only display legal content on the forums.

You have have until the 21-07-2012 to be in conformity. After this delay, we will have to delete your forum if it still isn't in conformity.

There is no way the having an ethical hacking website for pentesting is illegal. I can go on for days about how its widely accepted and there a numerous schools who offer ethical hacking lessons. NOT TO MENTION it is a legal practice in almost all countries. I expect this to be resolved immediately.

    Hi,

Regarding hacking and release of items that are not yours, they are not permitted according to our terms of service, which also notes that hacking is also disallowed.

I want to know more about your issue, is possible.

When you say ethical hacking, do you mean: White hat hacking; being a hero, or a good guy? (IE: Mario in Mario games opposed to being Bowser, who'd be um black hat)

Can you please explain it, if I have missed the spot?

Sure no problem, the release of "items" are mine Smile I created HackPack for backtrack version 5r2. And the other items offered are free open source linux programs that my friends have created (tdwl: ThA d0ctor). Yes this shows people how to penetrate when testing for LEGAL purposes, there have been people in the past who ask how to "hack facebook" and we simply tell them no way in hell. Its even in our rules that we do not, especially me personally, help of provide anyone with illegal hacking. We dont DOS or DDOS, do group hacking/hijacking ect. I am a multi certified whitehat pentester, and I started this forum (which has now grown to over 2000 users) to HELP pentesters, not hackers. This has caused us many angry trolls, and we dont care, we stick the ethics. We have been around for quite a while now, it would really be a shame to get rid of us; especially since the most recent troll has been trying to shut us down (becuase we banned him for violation [blackhat]), so I hope his clever trickery hasnt led to this.

I forgot to add, I have many corporate and mid-size private business IT specialists who visit us a lot to learn how to both penetrate and secure a system, including a leading administrator for a large security company in PA. This is an example of what I mean, this guy: http://s4b3rstealth.forumotion.pro/t496-dns-spoofing-arp-poisoning-outside-lan#2692 is just looking to find out if he cant pentest outside LAN on a lab he has setup (its what we test with--basic server or machine), I explained that without permission from a victim or test CPU/PC its illegal, and he reassured its on a lab demo. This is how we compose ourselves.

Hm, would this fall under the category of hacking?
I personally don't know too much about white hat hacking, I have heard of it though.

The person that makes the final decisions unfortunately, does not speak English, on French.

I can translate it into any language, my main concern is that a very popular, growing, forum is going to be removed for a reason because someone has misinterpreted what it is. I just would like the chance to speak to that person, becuase in my opinion its completely unfair. There are also other forums using forumotion that actually ARE about hacking, (blackhat) not ethical hacking, and they arent being taken down.

    Hello,

I guess that the content that goes against our TOS are the hack sections.
Don't know what you mean by legal hack either, but in your packs there are tools for DOS attacks from what I see and I don't really see how that can be a legal activity...

There's no possibility to negotiate or discuss with the litigation team. You just have to read our TOS and remove what isn't authorized, there's no trap.
You just have to wait for the end of the countdown if you have nothing to reproach yourself. Wink

    Thank you Smile

We test server setups with LOIC (testing load balancers). If it can withstand up to 3 people trying to DDOS with LOIC it is then considered safe for residential (low) use.
