Users profile

Hi.

I been get people sing in the forum , post message but they never get to make the profile .

What I like to propose is the way for people after activate the account go direct for the profile page and start to make the profile before they post.

I don't mean to force people to make the profile but if is the next page they see after activate the account, will give the chance for they know its there and is quick to do, as I will know who really want to make the profile and who can be the suspect .

I think this will make the forum more save.

Just go to Admin Panel >> General >> Configuration >> Profiles find the profile info that you want them to fill out and force it by check marking "Compulsory for the registration"

It will be required to be filled out at the time of registration.

if I force just 1 of this options, mean they will have to go to the profile page first ?

No it does not take them to the profile page, but it does automatically fill out those questions that are in the profile.

Another thought is to send them an auto-welcome pm when new members sign up. It will send them a pm. You could instruct them to go to their profile to finish filling out the information.
