[Question] What is the difference between buying the domain name here than other sites?

Title says it all


I want to buy a domain name,
for example i want a webpage, www.ingenmarket.com
on the homepage it would look something like loohub.ca with the forums

so my forums would be on www.ingenmarket.com/forums

I went on godaddy.com today and saw the price, which is about half the price of what it costs to buy the domain here on forummotions.com
I'm just wondering what is the difference if I buy it from goddaddy or other places than here using credit?

right now I have an ad across my forum, which I guess the money made off ads goes to forummotions
if I were to buy the domain the ads will disappear and I can place my own ads on the forum?
