Hello,

The problem should be fixed now.

A DNS change has caused this problem. Now, the base DNS configuration has been restored.

Please clear your cache and cookies and check if this issue is fixed, as it should be.

If it's not, here are some different operations that can help to fix the issue :

• Close your browser
  
• Reboot your Internet connection
  
• Clear the DNS cache with an ipconfig/flushdns process (How to do this ?)
  
• If that still doesn't work, save your current DNS info somewhere else and try to change temporarily your DNS for the DNS provided by Google (How to do this ?)
  
  If after all these operations, you still have the loading issues, please provide us :
  
  
• The forum(s) concerned
  
• A screenshot of the error message
  
• Your ISP

Things seem to be gradually getting back to normal but it does raise the question as to why the hosts don't test the updates that they install? This has happened before and I suspect will happen again.

Been receiving emails from my forum's members stating they can't get onto the forum. I've tried and couldn't either. Seems to be a problem for quite a few people, so I just wanted to drop a little note to throw my forum on the inbox pile. Hope the techs can work their magic. Thanks in advance.

i see its a common issue all of a sudden, so i guess ill chime in here and say that i too am having trouble with the 3 forums i am aware of that use forumotion are down also.

My forum has been having members unable to access the site as well. Help please.

I am lucky to say that I am having absolutely no problem getting in any forums that have been listed here or my own.

How ever, we have many members who are unable to get into ours'. They have tried the instructions given - no go, but can get in using a proxy.

This tells me that something is amiss with possibly an IP problem - but, strangely, they are from all parts of the world. hmmm.

Best - and hoping this problem does correct soon.

I'll throw my forum in this list of forums with connection problems too. But I can only report one member that says they can't load the forum right now, they get a message that says "page not available". Other members are logging in and posting. The user that can't access the forum is from Kentucky, United States.

It sounds like I'm having a similar issue. Only some of my members are having trouble getting on. Others (and myself) can use my site perfectly.

yesterday i can open this forum and talked about post problem and i think there was solved now.
but today when i open help.forumotion.com their say there was no server..

so when i opne another site, it still cannt. i try to open webartzforum, i can open it but 5 mienute leter i open webartz forum. it same like another forum which cannt open. i try with another aplication like mozila and google chrome and it was same.

so now i use proxy to acsses this forum. how to solved that???

I could use my forum again yesterday evening late. The problems started Friday evening. Some of my members could enter it, some couldn't. New members registered but I could not enter the site to activate them.

I thought that perhaps it had something to do with optimizing the fora for browsing on the mobile phones ?

first is forumotion i cnnt acsses. seondary is my friend forum. and now i can nt acsses myself forum.

we have the same problems on two forums from Croatia.
yesterday I noticed automatical changes in forum adres when i tiped it in
.net changed into .org
and there were no chance to change that.
after that notified us for server problems. Now seems to bi all ok, for me. My members still have this problem

By the way I couldn't have entered most of the forums you guys posted here, as I couldn't enter mine also. Now I can enter all of yours and mine.

Won't load at all

I'm having the same problem, occasionally it will work for five minutes or so, but then I get the OpenDNS error screen. The forum is shutupandplay.forumotion.co.uk

My forum has been off and on for the past few days. Today it is working so far, but for the past few days I've gotten a server not found error message.

Phew I am so glad (sorry mean that in a nice way) that I am not the only one having problems. Since Friday at about 18.30 I have been getting emails/calls from members not being able to get on the rescue forum & getting these messages

It appears to be ok now, but everyone is now panicing that we have been hacked & sent viruses as there is a woman that is a computer whizz & has just been sacked from the rescue that she was running for yet again 'redirecting funds' as she did when she helped run my rescue so chinese whispers are saying she is hacking into peoples accounts & redirecting users to her new rescue (she did this with a web link to me 4 years ago)
So can I go back & post that it is not a hacker or a virus but a host/server problem & all is well please?

Whew. I am glad that this has been happening around the world and not just for me... I was worried I was hacked or something...

yes I just posted a new topic about this... I am the head admin, head mod, head poster of my site and I cannot access it at all, unless I am using a proxy. But even when I am using a proxy, it wont let me log onto my main account (I Have an admin account and main account). It says "We have detected suspicious activity related to your account. To unblock it, please click here and complete the form." I then go and complete the form and nothing happens -_-
BTW this has been gradually getting worse for me. Problem happened around 1m EST on October 12th. It has been getting worse. Before I could access my site but everything was screwed up, now I cant access it at all, unless using a different IP address. But I cant access it from my main IP address at home, I have to use a proxy to be able to use it.

May I also add that this happened to 1 other user in Toronto, Canada on October 11th-12th.
