    Solved SECURITY BREACH

Post by nextlevelgaming Fri Nov 23 2012, 19:29

I have been recently informed of a security breach, if you visit, http://bugmenot.com/view/pimpkings.com its giving away account names and passwords. Not all of them are correct, just a few. I deleted those user accounts just to ensure our sites safety.

So what is forumotion going to do about this?

They are right on that link. It tells you the account name, account password, and the success rate it has. I already told the users who had this done to check their computers for Malware, Spyware, and/or virus' to rule out any possibilities.

I just checked one of forums is also there. What it is is that someone created an account and posted the information on that site.

    Thanks Sanket

SLG the only new users on that site from here were darkglow and some one else. Which I know it wasn't that person. So I don't know what you are saying? DarkGoku though tried signing into it, but I did not accept because it is an xboxlive clan only for a friend.

Checked that sire some more, and they have a forumotion.com one. It looks like users are creating the accounts. only problem is though that person who brought this up to me would not place his account info on that site.

I mean that someone created an account on your forum and then posted that information on that site. That is how that site works.

Yeah, I started to think that. But the problem is though this guy would not do that. The one who complained. We all know each other personally, and are in a xboxlive clan. I will discuss more later. See the thing is as well I have to validate these members before they can actually access the site.

You can close this now. SLG has given me some very resourceful information. Thank you SLG and Sanket for the quick responses!
