Can't see categories

I am currently making a forum, obviously lol
I can't see the categories that I make. All i see is forums but no categories on top. How to fix?

What skin are you using? Sometimes different themes can display things like categories differently. Can you provide a screenshot of what you are talking about?

Obviously I will be removing the logo later but I really like this theme. Unless of course you know a similar theme that doesn't have this problem?

Are all boards placed under the "forum" category, or are there other categories that aren't showing?

i never even made a category called "forum"
i made other categories such as "general discussion" and "teenager stuff" and it isn't there. i can make a screenshot of my dashboard if needed.

I think I see what's going on.

Try going to ACP -> Display -> Structure and hierarchy -> Then select something like "Medium" from the split categories on index row. Let me know if that fixes it.

Just how do i get rid of how it says "forum" under each category?

You may need to edit the templates to do that. (Which can only be done with punBB and phpBB2) I don't have as much experience working with the templates, so I'm not quite sure how you would remove that. Hopefully someone else can be a little more helpful there.
