You know where is "no new messages", "new messages" and "locked" ( I don't know exactly how it is english, because I have lithuanian forum) , so how it remove? Once I had removed, but I don't remember.
P.S. I don't if this topic already is, because I don't know how it named english.

Administration Panel ~> Display ~> Templates ~> General ~> index_body.
Find this piece of code:

Save, then publish template.

Have you published template after saving it? You can do it by clicking on icon.
