How can i mention a user in a post?

Can I mention any user in a topics. I have tried these two codes but not working.

You can use that variable in a post without the space in username.

I am a little confused, I tried going {TheirUsername} but it dod not work. Am I doing it wrong, or is my forum [ http://nintyonline.forumotion.com ] set up differently?
I tried this:

but with one of my users. :3

No it should be username with the brackets, not the real username like sanket.

Nopes, as i mentioned the literal word Username inside those brackets.

But with the [ ]...

If it isn't any of those I don't understand whay you are telling us to do with the Using php in posts is called being a smart [Language]... Stop it piece of it.

If you want a specific username to be mentioned, you type that specific username Leeloo.
The variable above when viewed by any user, will show up their own username. Do you understand?

Oh okay. So there is no way to directly link to a user without copying the url to their account, and this method here mentions yourself.

I think it works even without the caps SLGray. Did you check?

It will not work without being in all caps. I just tried it on my forum.

Also if you want the usernames to be a link to their profiles use this one:

Can't I use only one username that i want to mention. I don't need to see my own username. I want to mention only one username that all people will see same.
