Solved Site description adds an extra space

Post by Guest April 18th 2013, 10:55 am

In the search engine options, under the site description meta tag I'm having a small issue.

I want to have "sonata 2.0T owners..." as part of my description. When I submit the tag, its changed to "sonata 2. 0T owners...". Notice the space between the period and zero.

I've cleared cookies and restarted on my end.....no luck. It acts like it is the end of a sentence and adds the extra space.

Can this be fixed?

You're adding this on the site's description area on the general tab, correct?
I don't know why this would add a space. Try using a different browser. Wink

Yes, it's on the general tab. The issue is the same on all browsers.

Hello,

This is your forum address right?: http://www.turbosonata.com/
Can you show a screenshot of this? What is appearing when I open it is this:

There's no space actually on my end.

Site description adds an extra space Captur19

Its the site description that only search engines see. It's not the welcome text on the front page. The screenshot shows the section im talking about. Note: I'm using different text in the shot until the issue is resolved.

Well it's supposed to be like that, it will place a space beside the commas and periods. I think this that is a fixed feature there.

I wish the feature could be turned off. I've tested and it doesnt add the extra space if you do the same thing in the homepage message or site title.

You can suggest this if you want. I think there'll be no way to disable this, sorry.

EDIT: Since this was marked solved...
