You don't need a URL you can upload straight from your desktop

Admin Panel> Display > Avatars > Smiles > Add a New Simile > Upload From Hard-Drive

Use this template...

Code:
<script>function submit_img(){ document.getElementById('text_edit').innerHTML += '[img]'+document.getElementById('emoticon_input').toString();+'[/img]'; }</script>
Enter your Image URL: <input type="text" id="emoticon_input">
<button onclick="submit_img()">Go!</button>

But there are tutorials how to add new input values on here, so you're probably better off using these.

Mmmmm, just look for 'Staff Options' here on this forum and see if that helps you, it shows you how to add a new button like this forum's "Others" button, I think that is what you need.

When posting an image smilie, it must be placed between image tags to show on a post.
Code:
[img]URL OF SMILIE HERE[/img]

Ah, no, you have to insert smilies into galleries by yourself.

If it gets accepted, but there is no time frame as when this will be accepted.

If it gets accepted, then we'll have this option.

No time frame, means we don't know when this might get accepted and implemented.
