Clicking "view latest post" image brings me to top of that page, not last post on page.
Exactly what the title says. When members click on view latest post image, it'll bring them to the latest post, but when the page finishes loading, to go right to the top of the last page.

Check if the URL of the link goes to /search?search_id=newposts
If that is not the case, the link is not correctly functioning.

Hello,
Is this happening to all? What browsers are they using?
Try to advice them to clear their cache first:

Sorry, but yes, this is happening for all users & it appears to be regardless of browser. I, personally, have tested it on Firefox & Chrome. I've also tried to clear my cache on both.
I thought it was because of a javascript module that I added, but I've removed it & the problem still exists.
EDIT:
I've noticed that when clicking the "View Newest Post" link that it does take you to the post, but when the page finishes loading, you are then brought to the top of the page

To the top of the page you mean the thread starter message/first post right?
It sounds like you have the forum set to Sort the posts of a topic by :
Post (Date Most Oldest In First) Thats how it is suposed to be. It don't matter if there was a new reply made, when you click it , it's always show the first message the thread was started with first when you have it set that way.
If you want to change it then have it set to
Sort the posts of a topic by : Post (Date Most Recent In First)
Admin panel>general>forums
You will have to set this for each forum you have.
Go to a forum click on , then for Sort the posts of a topic by : click on
(Date Most Recent In First) and click save

Re: Clicking "view latest post" image brings me to top of that page, not last post on page.
kirk,
I think you misunderstand the problem. It's not a sorting issue. The problem is that when I click the icon to view the latest post:
When clicking that icon it should go to that last post, which is at the bottom of the page. As I said in my previous post, it goes to the post correctly, but once the page has finished loading, the focus of the page is moved to the top of the page body.
Now ... I checked the source & noticed that the script for resizing images is one of the last items called just before the closing body tag. I disabled image resizing & this issue went away. So, I'm thinking that there is a bug in that code that is causing this issue.

Been almost 24 hours & has been working as it should since disabling "Image Resize" ... forumotion devs might want to have a looksy at their code.
