Installing a AJAX chat for my forum
Is there any way i can install a different AJAX to my forum? Like not the one that built in, but more or so like the one over at phpBB has. There chatbox is really great. They have chatbox with an online list, and they don't have to login. I was wondering if there was atleast a better chatbox program out there that can be installed.

Re: Installing a AJAX chat for my forum
Hi,
I am not sure about the AJAX chat. I don't think it is possible, you can read a thread discussing the use of AJAX Chat here
https://help.forumotion.com/t103736-ajax-chat?highlight=ajax
If you were looking for a different chat that seems to work well on Forumotion forums you could try the avcaweb chat. I've never used it but apparently it has good reports.

It has plenty of features and addons that can be used.
Hope this help

Re: Installing a AJAX chat for my forum
First off, you don't install Ajax, you install a web server and use Ajax to asynchronously communicate with the server.
Second, forumotion.com seems like... well, a server, no?
If you know how forumotion's server is built, utilizing Ajax (via jQuery or XMLHttpRequest) is no problem.

Thanks for the info Derri.
@Ultron's Vision I don't think it's legal to mess with Forumotion Servers, but if it is possible to install a AJAX chat that is legal that would be fine.

Re: Installing a AJAX chat for my forum
there is no way to use this if it requires to be uploaded to the forum/ forumotions server.
The best bet would be to use avacweb chat like suggested above or go with something different that is compatible to use with forumotion forums.
You can find many different free chat boxes or even web-cam chats that can be added to your forum, Google it
