Unable to save permissions correctly

I'm in the process of setting up a new board at http://craftyus.forumotion.com. Setting up the forums & permissions and, doesn't seem to matter what I do, the permissions aren't saving correctly. My test user/guinea pig is unable to post new topics & reply to topics despite my best efforts to save the permissions that would allow her to do so. She can send PMs. Suggestions?

What happens after you save the permissions? After saving them, go back and check them.

When I make changes using the advanced option, I hit save, am told the changes were saved, then when I go back in to check, it's reverted to what it was before I made the change as well as taken away the right of everyone by admins to post new topics & reply to messages in the drop down menu in the simple rights admin. area.

Can you check the group your a modifying permissions for doesn't have another forum selected in the drop down menu titled "Copy forum permissions"

To check this to ACP --> General --> Categories and Forums -->

Because if a different forum is selected then it will continue to copy that forums permissions of that forum, rather than the one you're actually trying to edit.

Example, You have two forums, Forum A and Forum B

You want to change something in forum B but in the modify page of Forum B you see this option "Copy forum permissions" and the drop down menu has selected Forum A, this means the group will always attempt to, every time edited copy forum A.
