Yes it is free, except for the domain names, advertisement removal etc. which you need to pay for which is optional(not required).

How much for the domain name if i want to ?

From the FAQ:

You can purchase a custom domain name for your forum for 1600 credits per year (about 15 € - can slightly vary, depending on a currency and it's current value).

You can see the exact cost of things by going ACP --> Misc --> Credits --> Spend Credits

Note: You have to be logged in as the founder to see this.
