Founder Transfer

Hello. I've recently begun working on a forum and I've found the backup portion of the administrator panel but I'm experiencing problems. I didn't make the forum myself but I've had the account transferred to me due to an agreement that I'd be the webmaster of the site. After that, the password and email of the account was changed to fit that purpose. But, now I've come across a problem with trying to access the backing up of my forum because I'm not necessarily the "founder" with the information required to access the backup. Is there a way this can be changed? I don't want to worry about having my forum compromised by the person who made the site for me but recognized I'd be the webmaster by giving me his account or having to be incapable of viewing the backups because I don't have the required information or true webmaster status, apparently.

Also are you trying to do the backup via the Admin Control Panel? Or by this linl?

Thanks for responding. I do have access to the founder's account but I don't have the creation email or password. The link you provided for getting a new password seems to require me to have the founder's original email which I can't get a hold of. Is there some way I can change the founder's email to my email and pick a new password?
