How to merge a topic

I can't figure out how to merge two topics into one. I tried looking on this site, but couldn't find any info.

I want to merge this post into this topic.

Just find down in the topic mod tool merge.
Choose topic for merge, and it's all. It's work to me

For what its worth I've never been able to "merge" a topic or a post either. I have taken all the correct steps to the best of my knowledge but it never has worked. I have tried it on every version of forum with the exception of phpbb2 because I've never used that version before and incidentally, never plan on it, I'm sticking with punbb. But for some reason all the versions I have used including phpbb3, Invision, and punbb the Merge has never worked.

Yeah, I can't find it in any of the version of forum.

I can find the merge feature alright it just never has worked. Its at the bottom of each thread in the Moderator tools along with "Move" "split" etc. All of them work but the "Merge" has been my experience.

You have to be the admin or a mod of the forum to see the options.

Hmm... I see no 'merge'.

Go to AP>>Display>>Pic management>>

On that page click the "Advanced Mode", then click tab at the top titled "Icons for the topics", on that page scroll down check and see if you have an icon for "Merge topics" If you don't see one you can add one there by clicking "show example" and choose an icon.

That is not where the merge button will appear.  What you are looking at is the page when you press the moderate this link.  There should be a moderate tool under each thread.

Hummm. all the forum versions I've seen which is all of them but phpbb2 the mod tools are all together in a row of little buttons. There is no moderate this link, they are all exposed buttons together in a horizontal line. (i.e delete this topic, send to the basket, move this topic, split this topic, merge topics.)
