    In progress How do I merge to categories?

    After some years of running my forum I want to merge a few categories. They are all full of threads, I want to keep the threads but all in a new category. I could move each thread individually, but that is a LOT of work Is there some quick and simple way to just merge the categories?

    Create the new category then attach the forums from the old categories to the new one.

    I tried that, the old categories are now listed at sub-categories under the new category that I created. They have not merged.

    I figured out a way. If I delete a category I get asked if I want to move the content. I can then choose the new category and all thread will be moved there.
