What are "Row category left and right" ?

Hi. Maybe someone can explain this to me.  

In phpBB2,
under Pics Management > Advanced > General

What is the "Background picture (Row category left): "
and the "Background picture (Row category right) : "

If someone could show me EXACTLY where these two areas are on the Index page (and other pages if appropriate) I would appreciate it.  Post a screenshot or other example if you can.

The "Background picture (Row category left)" is the image for category titles that appers in all titles of tables. The "Background picture (Row category right)" is the image appearing in the right side of the category title.
Please look at this image:
The red box - "Background picture (Row category left)";
The green box - "Background picture (Row category right)".

Note: "Background picture (Row category right)" appears only if your you have choosed "Keep categories on index" from "Administration Panel ~> Display ~> Homepage ~> Structure and hierarchy", when "Background picture (Row category left)" is appearing also as background of widgets title, chatbox title, who is online title and so on...

I was confused by the terms "left" and "right" because they seem to be backwards.  
Now I see what I need to do.
