Require More info for User Activation?

Hello,

I am trying to set up a forum where we will be providing support for those people who have taken our training course.  Therefore, I do not want just anyone joining and have set up manual activation for account registration.  The problem is, when I tested it out, the only information I was given as Admin was the username of the person registering...which doesn't tell me anything about the user.  Is there a way to change the information required to join the forum?

Hello drumFIT,

You can add new fields to the registration page by doing the following.

Administration Panel > Users & Groups > Users > Profiles > Profile fields

a profile field of your choice, set 'Necessarily filled' to 'yes' and save. This option will force the user to fill in that specific profile field at registration. You can of course do this will newly created fields as well.

Thank you so much!  I just couldn't find that for the life of me.  I was able to change/add the field I needed.  :-)
