My forum deleted? I did not delete it. Need Urgent help please.

My forum is not online!  Just tried to go to it and instead of my link
www.smithchat.com -I wastaken to the page.......

which says....

The forum www.smithchat.com doesn't exist.Verify the internet address you typed : www.smithchat.com,
and try again if there is a mistake.
It is possible that the administrator has chosen to delete it.

I have not deleted it.
I haven't been to the site for a few weeks because busy with other stuff,so don't know  how long this error has been occurring, but I paid for the renewal of my domain name with 1600 points on the 17th November 2013. Please could someone look into this as soon as possible? I'm really worried now.

Just tried that and that is working, but I paid for renewal of my domain name www.smithchat.com, which I've had for several years. Has something gone wrong with the re-direct?

I really do not know.  We will have to wait patiently until the Pro Admin returns and checks. Keep an eye for the Pro Admin (Buttercup) to reply to that topic.

I have logged into my admin panel via the editboard address.
Its appearing in the "forum address" section that my domain name was not renewed,though I'm sure I had renewed it, but the credits are still available. How do I get my domain name back?

Well, then you will need to purchase the domain name, but Forumotion can not guarantee that you can get the same name.

You are looking under the customized domain name tab?

In credits management/ domain name section, it tells me that www.smithchat.com is already taken, so it won't let me have it. But that's probably because it is already mine but I need to make payment again, as the payment in November obviously failed. What can I do, I want the same name.

No, I had to enter it myself in the field where it asks for it, then I got the error message. (Also, just edited my last message above, sorry must have crossed with your last reply

So you got a free domain name, and you use 1600 credits in November 2013 to renew it?

Well I believed that I had renewed it in November, and have a note that after using 1600 points for the renewal I had 7 points left.  But when I now go to  Credit Management History, the renewal on 17th November is not listed - and the most recent transactions are shown as follows..

Sat 5 Oct 2013 Ads disabled for members and guests Add 3 months without ads - 600

It shows that you brought 1500 credits in November, but no spending 1600 credits.

Yes I know, but I was sure that I had renewed it, leaving me with 7 points, and that's the mystery, because its obviously given me back the 1600 points (as I now have 1607 and lost my domain name)

Can it please be rectified so that I can have my smithchat.com name back please, and so that I can attempt the payment again?

When I renewed it in November (or thought I had) it was not taken by anyone else, but still showing in my admin panel ready for renewal at that time, though I don't think it was actually due for renewal until a week or two later, but had done it early (or believed I had) because I knew I probably wouldn't be back for a while. I only discovered tonight that my domain name link was not working, and that by accessing my admin panel via my old editboard address, as mentioned above,it is appearing not in fact to have been renewed. When I now, tonight, try to pay to renew it by entering my domain name in the field, it tells me that the name is taken. But in fact yes, it is hosted by forumotion but in my name.

Well if it was not renewed on time, then more likely it was made available and someone took it.

No I don't think that should be the case St Gray, but thanks for trying to help anyway. I'll check which forumotion admin is in charge of domains now, it used to be Typlo, but it might be Buttercup now, as I've just come across this other topic........

It just needs the CNAME pointer changing back for www.smithchat.com to http://smithproject.editboard.com so that it will again display in my admin panel enabling me to submit the points for a year's renewal.

Hello Buttercup, phew! glad to see you back,
Will try to briefly summarise from what already wrote on this topic.
 
Renewed it in December 2012 (I think the 2nd)
so it was due for renewal about 2nd December 2013.
I believed I had renewed it on the 17th November 2013 after I
had purchased enough extra credits to cover the 1600 credits needed.

However, it appears it was not renewed on the 17th November as I'd believed,
and the 1600 credits still showing as available in my transactions history.
(except I've used 300 of those now to renew copyright, but will buy 300 more once I know I can now renew my domain name)
