Forum acess- what to do?

Hello there, I'm looking for some advice/help regarding a forum that's been hacked.  The place in question is the following:

dalelandsbeyond.forumotion.com

So I have the following questions:

- I know the founder of the forum, but he/she no longer has the password or uses the email associated with this account, what should they do in order to reset their password? Is there someone they can contact perhaps? (the founder basically has not used their forum account in a long time, has stopped using it, but other people still use it)

- Is there a way to restore the forum to before it was hacked? (a backup of some kind?)

- How to prevent this kind of thing happening?  Is there a clue as to how this happened?

If the founder wants to restore their account they will have to create an account here and read the following :
