Admin - "You can't report posts"

Hi all

The other day I was asking how to add the icon's for Users to report posts which was done successfully with your help. At the time I had messed up the Admin and locked myself from reporting posts. I thought I corrected it.

A mod informed me of a user that reported a post. I did not recieve an email. I checked my settings, checked email and notifications. I wanted to test to make sure it worked properly. I want all Mod's and the Admin to recieve the notice of a user who reported a post.

However logged in as Admin, I tried to test a "report post to Admin or Moderator" but I received the message "you can't report posts".

Please advise where I should be checking to make sure the Admin and Mod's can report posts. There is one Admin and 6 mods. If a mod see's a post they are not sure of what to do, I want them to be able to report it so notices go out asap to all the other Mod's as well as the Admin.

Thanks for the link. I have followed each step. I had added Admin to General > Reports> Permission and I also checked yes to self reports.

Admin still cannot report posts. I was able to a few days ago. Any other suggestion?

Could you post a screenshot of a post that you are viewing on your forum as an administrator? Also could you exactly explain how the report system is not working for you?

Neither the mod's or myself, the Admin, can use the "report a post to a mod or Admin" for any posts.

If a mod see's a post that needs to be dealt with, we want to be able to report it. The mods are fairly new, they might not be sure of how to deal with a questionable post. If they can report it, the admin and other mods should get a notice and can deal with it.

When I, the Admin or a mod tries to report a post it says "you can't report a post"

Report edit by users :Here you can disable the post report from specific users you consider as trustworthy, so members won't be able to send reports for messages posted by these specific users

It doesn't show when I do the screen shot, but Members is ticked. No for Self Reports and No for Report Edit by users.

Could you send me a test account that has access to the administration panel by private message?

After using the test account, I located the issue. Someone had locked the option for moderators and administrators in the report permissions.

Update - both mod's and admin can now report posts and are receiving the notifications.
