    Solved Forum Ban litigation threats

    Post by Thor2 23/4/2014, 05:22

So I have had some issues with spammers that come on my forums. I recently have given my mods the permission to ban them as soon as they show up without having to provide a reason for doing so. Now, I have been getting contact forms from the same people, threatening to send in a litigation for the reason of an "unwarranted ban". Is it possible that granting my forum staff this right will get my site banned?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Very Happy

Well, if it goes like that, I suggest you screenshot the spam they did granted that there was no other thing that would give you an opening once they file a litigation so it'll be guaranteed you'll win if ever that does happen.

The more screenshots you provide or any other proof, the better for you.

Thanks. But it still is possible to be banned for an unwarranted ban?

The founder can ban members for any reason he/she wants.  Forumotion will only get in involved if the forum breaks the Terms of Service.

^SLGray, thanks for letting me know. I'll be sure to inform him/her next time a threat of such is brought forth.

    Thank you. Smile
