Adding a banner Empty Adding a banner

Post by kirkby1red Sun 2 Mar 2008 - 18:55

Hiya everyone!

I want to put a button on the forum that members can click on and a vote for my forum is then registered on the site that runs the voting - hope that makes sense!

I have a HTML code from that site for the button, but I dont know how to insert that into the forum set up. Can anyone explain it to me please.

Also, if I do this, do I have to change the paty of the forum where it says "Allow Banner Ads" which is currently disabled?

Thanks everyone Very Happy

You wont have to set "Allow banner ads" on. You can create a module for the portal where you can paste the html code they gave you. See further information how to actually create a portal module [here]

Thanks Sunny, can this only be done on the Portal page then, and not inserted somewhere on the forum index page instead?

You can also try to paste the code in admin panel=>General=>Configuration=>Configuration in the "Site name" or "Site description" box, but only if the code isn't to long.
