In progress css logo put out of the place

Post by IdaTR 6/7/2014, 23:41

I want to move the logo to the far left of wrap.
I know I can do it with an simple:

Code:

#logo {
margin-left: 50px;
margin-top: 50px;
}

however if i do that, then the place where the logo should in original be gets wider/higher..
What i want reminds a little of the content text some people lies on there website as copyright text.

is it possible to link such an css together with a picture?

Hello IdaTR,

You can use absolute positioning :
Code:
#logo {
  right:0px;
  top:0px;
}

With that the element takes up no space in the DOM. You can also use relative position as this keeps it's space in the DOM.

With using absolute, the parent of that element must have a position that is not static, i.e. relative. So it acts as a containing element, otherwise the absolute element will go to the absolute corners of the browser window.

Did you remove your image from Pics management ? I see the default empty image.

I think the cause of the image disappearing is from the theme. The body has a positive top margin and the wrapper has a negative top margin.

Add this to your CSS :
Code:
body { margin-top:0 !important; }
#wrap { margin-top:30px !important; }
