Hi, your title being non explicit and therefore not facilitating research via the search option, I'm not answering (nor is any other member Wink) until you change your title for an explicit one, related to your problem Wink

My God..Luky, I'm sorry but every second post you do is the same jargon..and why cant a member help a member..do we need permission to help now? This sites getting totally out of hand..Forums are being deleted daily, helpers(Luky) are posting the same thing over and over. Why not just change the damn topic if you dont like it? Personally I'm tired of reading your "non explicit" paragraph. I'm starting to feel like your just looking for a reason to use it. Now I'll wait for admin to step in with the red face and tell me if i dont like it, find a new forum..Problem is I love the forum, I think the help thats offered at times is pathetic though.

Kefeng, why not just put in your homepage welcome block that you have moved..seems easiest.

I am not admin so a red faced mod will have to do. I will not have any members thinking its okay to attack a team member for DOING THEIR JOB. The helpers are told to use the above like luky has done in situations like this, because unfortunately forumotion support members seem to have real problems reading the rules. Can you imagine how out of hand this forum would get if all members started to use titles like 'help' for every single problem? How they would complain that when they use search the only things they can look up is 'help' or 'look here' The help that is offered here may be 'pathetic' in your eyes, but i suggest you just get on with it, as there is not going to be any other sort, dont be so rude and ungrateful. I am giving you a first public warning for attacking a team member and if anyone else would like to follow suit they will be issued with the same. If you have a complaint, pm it to admin is that clear?

If you reread the thread you'll notice help was already being offered before lukys post.

i am aware of that decibel however it is still luky's job to inform the original poster that he needs to change his title to help our search facility which is exactly what he did, and hopefully because he did, the member will know next time to use a more descriptive title without luky having to repeat himself...it works both ways.

Hello Kefeng . . .

I assume you have a homepage already.

Try this:

Administration >
General >
Homepage >
scroll down to *Homepage Message.

Add your message description about moving your forum and also place a URL to the NEW site.

As far as disabling Registration:

Administration >
Styles >
Modify Pictures >
look for your *Register* button and click on it. A new page will load, and you can then tip the box:
HIDE (The image will be replaced by an invisible one.)

Hope that helps

you can also mass email using admin>>>general>>>newsletter which will send an email to all your members that you have moved site.

You can also add in your site description, in admin>>general>>>configuration that you have moved and the link Smile
