    Hi all,

    I've just received this from one of my moderators:

    I've been using iOS 8 beta for a while now and have had issues with the site freezing and put it down to the beta software. I'm now using the Grand Master editon which is effectively the public release and finished version a week or so early. I'm still having problems. I can't cut and paste. I can type and then the screen freezes. I don't have problems on other sites, messages, emails, Twitter etc! 

    Is it worthwhile messaging the forum help team to see what their view is and get ahead of the game. It's released next week to the general public and I'm sure some members will be using it on their phones and iPads. I've tried it on chrome, Safari, Firefox, all the same....the cut and paste button appear and then instantly disappear. It could be the software, but does only happen here. Hmmmm!

    Has anyone else experience such issues or can test this?

    Hello,

    I am unable to test this out myself, but the most likely cause of this is probably due to the fact that the iOS 8 your moderator is using is in beta mode. Of course, not everything runs perfectly in beta and bugs are indeed to be expected. Hopefully this bug is fixed as the iOS moves out of its beta.

    As stated, it's NOT the beta release. 

    Anyway, a couple of members have the official ios8 update now and can't copy and paste on forumotion. It appears not to be an issue with other sites, just forumotion. 

    I'd be interested to see if anyone else has the same issue.

    It works fine for me. The only issue you should have is when you tap on a word which is spelled incorrectly you'll have to have to hold your finger down then release to place the blinker in front/behind the word.

    Are you sure you have ios8? We have a few people complaining about the same issue (only one has access to the admin panel and says copy and paste works in there). 

    This is not isolated to one user.

    Bump as yet more users complain that they cannot copy and paste on the forum using ios8.

    Being ios, they're using safari although one had tried using Mercury and the problem remains. 

    You guys are going to have a lot of complaints about this as people upgrade. He's, ios in it's current release seems very buggy and if C&P was an issue on all forums and we pages, it'd be clear that's it's an apple bug....but it only appears to be forumotion.

    Has now been tested with three different browsers (safari, mercury and dolphin - users across the board have issues logging into the site using chrome so we could not test this). 

    All browser encounter the same issue...they do not allow for copy and paste from ios8 onto forumotion (the forum itself won't allow it although it works fine in the admin panel). Other forums, twitter, Facebook, etc all work fine. 

    The issue seems to be something with my forum (not sure if it's only phpBB3 that is affected).

    And I'm still having problems with forumotion and my iPhone 6. Changing browsers as APE suggested do not help me at all. Now I can't even access the one site I would like to access as I get a gateway error. Frankly I'm shocked that more people aren't having similar issues.
