Solved Assign a Mod to a Topic

    Post by Guardian-Angel September 12th 2014, 10:22 pm

    Hello

I have a mod that is assigned to one Category out of the many Categories that are in our forum. Is it possible to assign a mod to one particular Topic, and if so can you kindly direct me on how to do that?

    Thanks

Not really, unless that one topic is in a forum by itself.

If you have a really big topic, you can make it as a redirect in the Admin Panel => General => Forum => Categories & Forum

In the forum name, use the following code.

    Code:
    <a href="YOUR-LINK-HERE">TEXT-NAME-HERE</a>

Replace YOUR-LINK-HERE with the thread link.
Replace YOUR-TEXT-HERE with the forum redirect name. (Ex: User of the Week)

You can now assign a moderator to this forum and it will act as you wish, a topic moderator.

There is no other solution, unless Ange brings up a very complex JavaScript for such a thing.

    This is the Forum Name

Bachelor - Bachelorette - Former Contestants - Updates - General Discussion

In that forum there are several topics. I wanted to assign a Mod to one of those topics.

Are you saying I put that code in the forum name in the Admin Panel?

Won't it change the name of the whole forum?

That was to make a topic as a forum, which is done by a redirect.

However you said you have a lot of topics, and it seems it would be inconvenient to make forums for those topics. If otherwise, yes you put the code in the forum name.

In YOUR-TEXT-HERE you can place the names of the forums/topics.
