Sound when new post is written?

Hey there! 

I'd like to ask if it is possible to add a sound effect to a forum(phpBB2), when a new message is posted?
Just a short mp3 'ding' sound or something?
And if it's possible, could anyone help me, please?

It's to play a sound effect whenever a new notification from the toolbar pops up.
