How to add someone as your friend

Hey,
I was wondering how to add someone on my friends list/send a request to them on my Forums. I can't seem to find how and I don't know what to do to enable it. If you can help, that'd mean a lot, and I'd surely thank you. That's all for now, but if you don't know the directions, it is perfectly fine. Then I might find another way... Anyway, that's it. AP > Users & Usergroups > Users > Users Options
User Settings Section
Allow friends/foes management:

When you activate it, you go to the member's profile you want to add and you should see a link at the top right corner of the profile.

or

Your Profile > Friends and Foes
Enter the username.
