In progress I can't buy credits

    Post by prescott50 September 29th 2014, 5:52 pm

The Hip Pay direct payment option is not working. It has rejected three different credit cards? Could it be because it defaults to french currency?

The All Pass option doesn't work either. It says the code you entered is incorrect.

These are French companies so your credit card may not complete foreign transactions.

I'm guessing not. I just contacted an admin, so hopefully I can get some help. I just had to post something to be able to PM. I was locked out of my original account had to make a new one.

Having read the other comments on here and on related locked topic https://help.forumotion.com/t135657p30-important-new-credit-card-payment
I would like to stand up and be counted in this quest to please bring back Paypal as urgently as ever possible.

I have just attempted to buy 1000 credits for my forum with my UK bank MasterCard Debit Card via the HiPay facility but it is not accepting the payment. There is nothing wrong with my MasterCard and I can only assume that this HiPay facility only accepts payment in Euros and will not convert to/from GBP. This is a nuisance as my "no ads" and "copyright" things need renewing by 7th October (tomorrow). Fortunately, I have a forumotion credits balance just about enough to renew these for one month only, whereas I would usually renew them for 3 or 6 months. So how can I buy more credits next month when I want to renew these again, at which time my domain name will also be nearly due for annual renewal (in 55 days from now)?

The only thing we can really do is wait until the FA techs find a way to reinstall PayPal payments with no issues.

Thanks for the response Ramdaman. Thanks also to Buttercup for the response to PM.

I'm wondering now if maybe you have to already have registered separately for a Hipay account at their website, before you can use them for payments. Just found their site so now exploring here https://www.hipaywallet.com/

Still want Paypal back though! Hope forumotion can sort it :/

I doubt very much that the Paypal option will be reinstalled, it should have been done by now which suggests they won't put it back as a payment option.
I don't want to sound disrespectful to Forumotion, they have given me great service over the years iv'e been involved with, but I'l give it about 6 months when i need to buy more credits for 2 forums i run and if Paypal isn't an option, then it will be time to move on spend my money elsewhere .

Forumotion is looking at other alternatives for buying credits that are similar to Paypal. As for Paypal returning, we can't say for sure if it will return but we also can't say that their is no chance of it returning as it might.

    Hello dear members

As I have already said our technicians are working on an alternative solution. With the Datacenter migration they don't want to send any correction online to prevent additional bugs.
We perfectly understand your trouble. If you have payment issues you can send me a PM.

    Thanks for your understanding

Buttercup what other alternatives do you have for us besides allopass and hipay? I pm you before and you weren't clear on it. You told me your technicians  were working on it.  This was back on September 24th? I have 5 days left to my renewal. Please don't mark these post as solved , when they are technically not.

    Dear BlackScorpion,

I was perfectly clear, our technicians are trying to find an alternative. I cannot tell you more for the moment. We perfectly understand the troubel. Thats' why we never let a member having payment issues. All members are free to contact me via PM if needed!

Buttercup, don't take this personal, I'm just a little frustrated with this whole situation. I'm sorry, if i'm coming on to strong but because of these changes i have to close down my forum. No contributions, no domain name, no email, and so on = no members = no reason to keep running it.
