How to limit edit field to a specific group

In admin part, I create a field, there is only 2 option moderator & member. With the moderator,  the one who only moderate 1 box, can edit the field also while I have some  level of moderators such as Super moderator, box moderator.
I want to limit the modify to specific people or group rather all moderators for security reason. Is is possible? Thanks

Are you trying to see if you are able to set it so moderators can only moderate certain people or moderate certain groups rather then everybody?

Sorry I don't understand what u means. I want to limit edit permission on  my new customized field for all users. Currently, Forumotion allows moderator or member himself to change.
However, people has permission role are many, I want to limit to a group/other specific user to do that.

He wants to have it so that he has certain moderator groups which are able to edit the field, not all moderators.

Ex:

Super Mod: YES
Senior Mod: YES
Mod: NO

As far as I know, it is not possible to limit those editing permissions to certain groups. The only options are moderators and member himself.

When it comes to Forumotion & the software I do not believe this is possible to set it to only specific groups can do this. I do not think this is able to be done at the current time but you can always make a suggestion about it. However I am not 100% sure on that so you may want to get some staff input on that.

Sort of repeating his answer.

I really need the improvement on Edit field permission that help me to assign and control my forum more effective.
If it is impossible to improve by visible UI now, I hope we can modify by CSS or Js.

As far as I know, there is no way to modify Forumotion's internal settings using CSS or JS.
