transferring complete control

I have acquired an awesome forum . The former founder and I are trying to figure out to assign me as the founder . We are stuck . Please guide me through this procedure .

However all he has to do really is change the founders email address to your email address of choice and give you access to his account (which is the founder account) and then you're the new founder.
