How to lock posts

Sorry I probably sound like a moron asking this question but i cant figure out how to lock a post on my forums.

Would Anyone be willing to explain how to do this??\

It looks different on every forum but you just go onto the topic ytou want to lock and then scroll down to the bottom... and there should be a Padlock or something like that...

Or a quick mods tool box. Click on select and you should see lock topic.
