Description of problem

View counter increases by 1 when I visit my topic. Can I somehow eliminate view counter increase by 1 when topic author watches his own topic?

Unfortunately we cannot modify the behavior of the view counter.

Is there possibility to use some code like this:

   counter++;
Else
   do not touch counter;
End If

the script that changes the views is server sided so we cannot modify it or prevent it for changing the views
