same here... i can't edit the nav links either...
but you can edit the special rights for some of the links (like memberlist, calender, faq, etc). just go to admin panel ---> users & groups ---> special rights
the rest of the links (log-in, home, log-out, others) are necessary for the forum, i guess there's nothing to edit there but the icons to match your theme.

Me, I simply hide the button if I dont want it to show in the navigation...
And if you wanted to add a new link for your forum, you can add a customized menu...

IF you want to add a new link to your nav bar go to admin panel=>General=>Homepage=>Nav links and click the "Add a customized menu" button. On the next page add all the required info and choose who has the rights to view the link(Administrators,Moderators,Members or Guests).

This is a real problem for me as I have had security issues and trying to make my forum private but Guests are still able to view the portal if they just type in the url http://forumname.forumakers.com/portal.htm How can I change the security so this is not possible???
