    Solved Translation-related problems

Post by Tonight March 5th 2015, 7:40 pm

Hello, I have tried to get Estonian language fixed for two times already, but unfortunately nothing has been changed. I've been told to send PM to staff/Buttercup but this hasn't changed everything - messages have been read, but actions haven't been taken.

So my question is: why doesn't FM want to provide as good translations as possible? I'm volunteering for this job, but right now all I have is Estonian-English language soup. I'm quite sure there are other languages in similar situations.

Forumotion has to have an employee who knows French, English, and Estonian to do the translations.

But why not have volunteers, who could translate from English to X language?

    Hello @Tonight,

Forumotion has this system because those volunteers you refer to might destroy the whole database. That's why they need to have someone that they trust and understands French (main language), English (second language) and the language they need to translate. Still though all these need time and you guys to be patient. I am sure this will be done sometime in the future.

Note that you may think you are the only ones that have translations send over to get fixed but you are not. Some others might requested something else to get translated. All it needs is patience!! Smile Wink

Even English forums still have translation errors which are being worked on.

    Hello @Tonight

Actually, we have prof translators but also few volunteers translators. However, those volunteers are loyal users and we have worked with them for a long time.
We have a lot of sentences and texts to translate and we cannot fully translate all langagues.

However, if you need more information, feel free to send me a private message.

    Thanks for your trus,

    Regards

    Buttercup
