    Solved Member Related Problems

Post by SarahTheGamerEmpress September 14th 2014, 5:59 pm

    https://help.forumotion.com/t135591-i-am-sorry-but-the-litigation-isn-t-taking-enough-action

The creator of this topic has been attacking us, the staff team, of the BelieveInWinx forum recently because the forum isn't working her way and she's just a member.

This member wants her SECOND account removed, even though we removed her first account already after she promised she won't return, but guess what? She did. Before that she'll make frequent topics about leaving and then she'll come back a week later or so. She always had the tendency to do so.

We have banned her twice for breaking the rules multiple times, the first ban was made on her FIRST account and the second ban was made on her SECOND account. After multiple complains about how we run the forum and the way she doesn't like it, she decided she wanted to leave and even linked us to the rule.

Now if we do remove her second account again, she might come back for a third time using a third account and maybe even faking her identity. Keep in mind that we already made a rule that does not allow members to have MORE THAN TWO ACCOUNTS and due to the fact her FIRST account was deleted upon request, we let her have the new one nonetheless.

Now we've enforced and edited the rule into: "15. Accounts - Each member is allowed to own one account. The creation of a new account will result in a permanent ban of both the accounts. This rule also applies in case your profile has been deleted at your request. You are not allowed to open a different account."

And according to your exception: "In the event of a complaint (For racist insults, slandering, remarks, homophobes or revisionists remarks, etc...) against the person who asks for the suppression of his account, it should be known that the administrator cannot erase the data relating to the identification of this person (In particular IP address who allows to identify a person formally): it is legally held to be able to communicate with them during a one year deadline minimum (This to allow for example justice to find this person and to possibly initiate a procedure against that particular persone)."

Do we have the right to refuse her request of termination due to her: Slandering, remarks, revisionists remarks and etc.?

This is after all her second account and she was issued two bans already and had the tendency to leave and come back later on.

Please do not start a flame war here.  Please stay on topic which is, "Are we doing something that is breaking Forumotion's Terms of Service or the rule about account deletion?"

You can ban the email addresses, IP addresses, and the usernames used by the member, then delete the second account.
