Solved No editing for emailing members

Post by azwiz Sat 14 Mar - 2:11

Is it normal to not have any options when sending an email to members of my forum ? Options like inserting a link , or a pic etc . How do I enable these options in emails to forum members ?

    Do you mean the icons?

You can also always add the image by putting
    Code:
    before the image url
    Code:
    [/img]
    after the image url.

The same goes with a url, put
    Code:
    [url]
before the link and the  put
    Code:
    [/url]
    after the link.

    Hope this helps,
    -Brandon

Ok so you mean the icons.

I am not sure if this can be added or not.

I do know that when you hit one of those icons, it just adds the bbcode for you.

But if I did not have the icons, I could add the bbcode myself and still achieve the same result.

I know a lot this type stuff confuses you azwiz. But this one is very simple...

Say I want to add a photo of a circle to my e-mail, all I would have to do is add these tags
    Code:
[img]COPY AND PASTE YOUR IMAGE URL HERE![/img]
    .

So here is my circle image:
    Code:
    [img] http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0e/Ski_trail_rating_symbol-green_circle.svg[/img]

    Here it is for real:
    Spoiler:

I hope this can help you at least in the meantime send the images you wanted in the e-mail.
    Hope this helps

Read what it says about it on the left side.  It is only for simple text, no HTML or BBCode.

GRR... Why would it be text only! That is a VERY plain email. That is very basic I will tell you. Well then in this case not even the icons can help Sad.

some email providers do not support bbcode or html so it is not supported by forumotion for emails ..now you can insert your own html but theirs no guarantee that the person you send it to will be able to read it because there email might not support html
