Hi, everyone. A member of my forum (of which I am the founder) has asked if we could close her account. Is this possible without deleting her posts? She has been banned in the past, and we want her posts to remain intact. What are the options?

2nd off, the only other way is simply to deactivate the account in the acp.

Thanks, Brandon. I've read the "administrators obligations" and that's why I said there were motives for banning in the past.

What happens if I deactivate the account through the ACP? Do her posts appear as "guest"? Again, the other forum administrators and myself wish to be able to identify her posts

No, she will just not be able to login again unless an administrator re activates the account, it will make it almost like when someone register, they have to activate their account through an email or an admin, this is just de activating it again, they can't get in, it will say wrong username and password. So the account still exists, just de-activated so it can't be used.
