Mass group private messaging.

Description of problem

A few weeks ago I sent out a mass e-mail to ALL registered users about some gear I was selling in one game.

Now I am starting a new server and want to send another mass PM. to all about it starting BUT now it is grayed out!?

ONLY the registered users is now grayed out which again I recently sent a mass e-mail to this group. I thought maybe it was because my inbox, send box and outbox were %100 full so I completely emptied ALL three and still it is grayed out. I attached a Screen Shot and would appreciate IMMEDIATE help with this as I wanted to send this days ago it starts Sunday and it took me almost 5 days just to get logged in here and post this qq. Anyway any help from anyone ASAP be appreciated, ty!

Does this group have more than 1,000 members?  I believe now that you can not send a pm to a group that has over 1,000 members.

First of all, you have to know that most of the staff members are volunteers, so you require IMMEDIATE answers but they are just doing their best. So, please be patient!

Secondly, you have an informative pop-up on your inbox explaining you cannot send a mass private message to a group with more than 1,000 members (as explaining by SLGray)


I've checked your members list and you've more than 1000 members. So, you have to split in 2 groups to send your mass private message.

Interesting it was well over the 1000 limit 3 - 4 weeks ago roughly when I sent it to the ENTIRE group about a gear sale then and now does now work,..... there's over 1300 in that group and has been for years so it didn't go over the 1000 limit recently and even I got the PM. also in my own inbox after clicking send because I am in all the groups so that's very very interesting that you say the number is 1000.

Anyway what ever I will split it up,... any easy way to do this or I have to do it one by one because I will just create a second group named "RegisteredUsers2" or something.

As for the patients comment I had tons of it. I spent five days here on and off trying to get a user name recovered. You should really add the option to recover user name & pass word to e-mail and think of how much time I wasted when I have things to be doing and this here is your thing. It was frustrating having my other site PW. reset three times also along the way and no one was getting it for some reason. So do to this masssss days delay I have something important these people need to know so I asked NICELY as I am busy trying to keep up with this new thing. I don't need to be told to have patients thank you though and of course I have common sense to understand that I am not the most important or first in line and that your all busy also that's why I asked.

Any way any easy way to split the group up fast or I must re-add 300+ of them to a new user group one by one???

You will have to do it one by one.

 I did not get that.

When you create a pm, there should be a box with a question mark to the right of the group box.  Hover your cursor over it.

Still wondering why the heck it let me send a mass PM. to this grp. roughly a month ago and worked because I got it also and that grp. had over 1000+ in it for years and years now.

Unfornately that is just how the system is set up and has been for awhile. Why it went through before, I don't know, maybe you were sending it to a different group (with less then -1000 members) or maybe it was a strange coincende.
