index... stuff

So, I can't quite figure this out but how do I separate my forums? Like It either is

How do I separate them all into categories like Introduction, Tribe and Mate Finder, and Create-A-Dragon in one...

Firstly, ensure that your forums ( green bubble ) are attached to a category ( blue bubble ). This way it'll be easier to discern forums from categories. This is a simple example :
( General > Forum > Categories and Forums )

For more on categories and forums, have a read over this topic.

Lastly, for what you want, I'd recommend a split and medium index packing.
( Display > Homepage > Structure and Hierarchy )

On the second row of index packing, choose medium.
