Forumotion anti-spam tool
In order to prevent spam, we have implemented an anti-spam tool for abandoned forum (or forum without activity). The admin has to manually validate new members as long as the forum is without activity and can change the activation option.

The admin can also find the explanation on the pop-up

For the same reasons, guests won't be able to post on inactive forums
