create forums

I was following the instructions on here how to do them and I thought I was doing it right but I can't get the forum name where it says Forum to have a title and then the categories will go below them.

Hi,

You can change the category name: Administration Panel => General => Categories and forums => Click on the name of the class in your case "FORUM" => Change field "Category name".

It still doesn't work.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies and/or your forum cookies?


Have you tried from any other browsers.

I tried it on chrome and Firefox. Cleared computer cache and cookies. How do u do that on forumotion?

There should be a little link on the bottom that says 'clear forum cookies'. Click that! Did clearing the browser cache and cookies make any difference?


Edit: This isn't the forum in question is it? http://meowsandpurrs.forumotion.com/ , if it is not, may pleas provide us the url to the forum with the issue?

AP > Display > Homepage > Structure & Hierarchy
Pick the middle one in the bottom row.

Ok, not a cookies problem or anything. I can see it still says 'Forum' as well. You could try re schronizing the forum. This can be done in ACP (Admin panel)-->General-->Configuration, scroll down all the way to the bottom, you will see 'reschronize the forum?'.


May you provide a screenshot of your ACP-->General--> Categories and forums for us as well?

Could you post a screenshot of the page in the administration panel on how that section is set up?

So you only have one category?

This is the category that won't change or the forum? If it is a forum, try re schynching it. This can be done with the orange circle icon.

I guess you can't put a topic where is say FORUM. You can only created topics in that box. I am wondering if it's that skin. Maybe I will search for another.
