Founder & Founder Utils question

OK so the "founder" of our forum is gone and has been for some time. I am trying to contact him about this matter but I have to use an intermediary so it's a little difficult. I have his account. He left willingly and gave his account information to me. My question is... when I try to log into the Utils (https://www.forumotion.com/utils) I get an error that I'm using the wrong e-mail or password or both.

This guy is notorious for losing his password and for using multiple e-mails. There is a good chance he himself couldn't access the Utils. If I can obtain no information from this guy at all about the original information, what is my next step as far as getting that access? Is it possible?

In this case, I would GUESS you would just have to request an 'official' transfer of ownership of the forum to you, in this process, the foundation email can be changed to one of your own.

You will have to prove that you have the right to your ACP and maybe a Email or pm from the old founder to say he gave you the founders account.

A screen shot of you in the ACP in parts that can only be seen by the founder will be needed.
Also needed will be :
your Email address,
Forum address,
Founders username ( Your name )
Email address you was gave by old founder.

Provide both, however, mainly just make sure you have a screenshot of the original founder saying he/she agrees to pass ownership onto you. Then really none of the other rules apply because the original founder willingly and knowlingly agreed hand over the forum to you.

Oh.  I misunderstood what you posted.  If you have access to the account then you do not need to 6 months and 1 day requirement.

@SLGray All the member needs is a Founders tool password reset They have founders account on the forum but when the old founder handed the info to the account they did not give the right account info to the founders tools.

The member will still need to give you the data asked in my last post so he/she can prove that he has Admin / Founders right's and then you can make 100% sure the member is now the founder.

The founder sent me his original password through an intermediary. I don't think I have a problem anymore. The topic can be locked. If, sometime in the future, I want or need the founder account, I will PM someone. Thanks for the help, guys.
