Admin and restore account hacked

Hi All!

Let's say theoretically that someone knows my forum's founder account's login data. What if he or she log in to my forum's founder account, then change my e-mail address and then delete the forum (i tested, after changing founder's e-mail address, you get an e-mail to the new address with deletion link).

I know, i can restore it with utils. But, what if the hacker also have access to my utils account, then log in, and change the e-mail address and password. Then i can't get any reminder to founder's account and restore account at all, and he/she is contolling everything? In this situation, what can i do to get my forum and founder account back? What can i do to prevent this situation besides that i use strong passwords and i don't tell anyone?

Shortly:
If a hacker knows my founder's account's username and password, AND also knows the password to my utils account, than what can i do to save my forum?

If this does happen you can contact one of us to recover your account. We have a history of the founder's account and can see previous foundation e-mails + if it has been changed recently. To prevent this scenario you should never give out your foundation account's credentials to anyone, unless you know you can fully trust them.

What if the hacker change my e-mail address and wait ~half year (or more) and i did not notice the change? You still recover the account? Is the delay matter in this case at all?

Well if you can go that long without noticing that it was changed, I would presume you still have access to your admin panel, you could probably send a screenshot in your pm to a manager .

Time shouldn't matter too much as all data is recorded on the forums. For example ; in the outils you can only backup your forum to certain date, however if you want an even older backup of your forum that's not present anymore, we'll need to contact an administrator to get one. We could do the same to see the full history of the forum.
