Option to select View New Posts

Hello

Is there anyway to be able to choose only the threads you are interested in show up when you choose View New Posts rather than the list of all the threads that have had new posts?

We are a very active forum therefore view new posts can be a full page of new posts. If members are only interested in for example 10 threads, can they choose those 10 threads to show up and not the rest?

Unfornatelly no, I don't believe there is an option for this in either the profile settings or acp. Something similar should be able to be accomplished using the watched topics system and the toolbar.

You can do this:  watch only the topics/forums you are interested in then checking them in your profile.

What do you mean checking them in your profile? Once they are in your profile, the only option is to stop watching.

We tested that theory, but all the new posts still came up, unless there is something else that's suppose to be checked?

There is a 'notifications' tab in the profile. Where all notifications will be sent (if you dont have the toolbar enabled), this is what I presume SLGray.

Only topics that you are watching will appear in the tab called Topic(s) Being Watched in your profile. Also if you have the toolbar activated, members can get an email or a notification in the toolbar about new posts in watched topics.

I understand the function of the tool bar, and choosing watch this topic, however once you chose the topics you want to watch, and set your notification preferences in notifications, then choose View New Posts, all the new posts still come up, not just the ones you are watching.

My question was is there a way to have only the topics you are watching come up, when you click View New Posts?
